ICE OUT: Defend Haitian & Caribbean communities

ALERT

Leaked ICE memo reveals plans for mass deportation operation against Haitian refugees in Springfield, OH and nationwide starting Feb 3.

Caribbean Defense (Defans Karayib) is an organization dedicated to defending Haitian, Caribbean and immigrant communities of all backgrounds against mass deportation, focused on public education, local organizing, and keeping families together.

Defans Karayib (Caribbean Defense) was born in 2025 from an urgent need: over half a million Haitians are facing potential deportation, and our communities need organized, sustained support now more than ever. Inspired by the mobilization and organization of immigrant communities around the country, we felt compelled to bring this same response to the Haitian and Caribbean communities.

Starting in NYC, we immediately found families seeking information and support, community members wanting to get involved, and a desire for deeper solidarity. Defans Karayib exists to meet that need—to educate, organize, and bring our communities together in collective action and mutual support.
